We’re getting an AudioBook. S.K. Nicholls has partnered with Steven Barnettt of ACX to bring Naked Alliances to life in an audio version.

What is an audiobook?

For starters, an audio book brings the written word to life through the spoken word. CD copies and downloads are available through Amazon and ACX. Audiobooks are great to listen to when you’re driving or cleaning house, or otherwise too busy to sit and read. They are also great for relaxation. You can sit back, close your eyes, and listen to a storyteller while your imagination soars.

Who is Steven Barnett?

First of all, Steven is an awesome narrator who performs all character roles. Another Orlandonite, Steven brings familiarity with the content material. He also brings originality to the characters in voice when he reads. Going above and beyond the call of duty, Steven agreed to tour our nudist resort, Cypress Cove. Our resort inspired Leisure Lagoon, a setting in the book. In this way, he gets a real feel for the character’s emotions in preparing for Richard’s Noggin, P.I.’s role. He attends events at the Parliament House, a gay complex open to the general public for entertainment. Another prominent setting in the story. Here, he gets a feel for Brandi’s role, as well.

Second, because he’s a resident of the Orlando area for more than twenty years, he is accustomed to the diversity here. There is much diversity in lifestyle and culture here. Luckily, he has a knack for accents and some pre-existing knowledge of the snippets of foreign languages found in the book. We are certain he is a fine narrator for the read and will produce a great product.

When can we expect a finished product?

Finally, we heard eight auditions and Steven’s stayed on the top of the list throughout. We’re excited to have him on our team. He reads chapters regularly. Submitting them along the way for review and any necessary edits. With the final product being completed between Dec.18-30. (My cover artist from 99Designs will produce the square version of the cover for the audiobook.) The audiobook will probably be ready just in time for you to use those gift cards received for Christmas to make your purchase.

In conclusion, Steven is a voice-over artist, narrator, with engineering skills and a passion for technology!
